As I lay on my bed, thinking about you, I feel this strong urge to grab you and squeeze you, because I can't forget last night. You came to me unexpectedly during the calm and balmy night, and what happened in my bed still leaves a tingling sensation in me.
You appeared from no where and shamelessly, without any reservations, you laid on my naked body...you sensed my indifference, so you applied your hungry mouth to me without any guilt or humiliation, and you drove me near crazy while you drained me. Finally, I drifted off to sleep.
Today when I awoke, you were gone, I searched for you but to no avail, only the sheets bore witness to last night's events. My body still bears faint marks of your enthusiastic ravishing, making it all the more difficult to forget you.
Tonight, I will remain awake, waiting for you.... you fricking mosquito.

Our house church, which we have dubbed "Churchville", is beginning to go through Ephesians together. We read and study beforehand and then when we meet again, we share what we have gleaned and been revealed. Amazing conversations and viewpoints come out during a time like that.
Below is a video I watched (actually listened to) by Chuck Smith. He talks a bit on Ephesians 1:1-2. Just because you are not in the "ministry" (a.k.a. pastor) does not mean you are not in the will of God. Some are to be homemakers, some are to be clerks, etc. This is the focus that Chuck discusses in this 8-minute video.

Here is an interesting article that USA Today published regarding house church, simple church, orrganic church...whatever you prefer to call it.
"To get to church on a recent Sunday morning, the Yeldell family walked no farther than their own living room to greet fellow worshippers.
The members of this "house church" are part of what experts say is a fundamental shift in the way U.S. Christians think about church. Skip the sermons, costly church buildings and large, faceless crowds, they say. House church is about relationships forged in small faith communities.
In general, house churches consist of 12 to 15 people who share what's going on in their lives, often turning to Scriptures for guidance. They rely on the Holy Spirit or spontaneity to lead the direction of their weekly gatherings.
"I think part of the appeal for some in the house church movement is the desire to return to a simpler expression of church," said Ed Stetzer, a seminary professor and president of Lifeway Research, which is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. "For many, church has become too much (like a) business while they just want to live like the Bible."
House church proponents claim their small groups are sort of a throwback to the early Christian church in that they have no clergy and everyone is expected to contribute to the teaching, singing and praying."

I was asked today to prove that Jesus existed without using anything religious; no Bible, no Christian books, nothing. So the question is, how can you prove that someone walked on the face of the earth over 2000 years ago. There are no pictures. There are no videos. There are no writings by him.
Honestly, trying to prove Jesus actually existed is a very good question. It comes down to why do you believe what you believe? Because your mama said so? But intellectually, if Jesus truly existed then there has to be some evidence somewhere. However, if Jesus actually did walk the face of the earth, then now what? What would it change anything for you? Anything? Do you care? Still be skeptical? Embrace it? What?
I will be on a pursuit of finding out those facts (or myths) on the existence of Jesus and will post them here from time to time. I would love to hear your concerns, questions, resources you have used to prove or disprove Jesus' existence. This is going to be an interesting journey!
